Can't connect to a network UK was created by karmadillo2004
Hi, my new PushMeFon mobile arrived, charging OK, SIM inserted OK, but "network" light stays on and phone does not connect to a network. Same SIM connects to network fine when inserted in ordinary mobile phone and in same location. Why is phone not connecting, help?

Hi Andrew, please check the following:
- SIM card LED should be off, meaning the SIM card is accepted and unlocked
- if the other phone connects to a network, please check what kind of network it is (2G, 3G, 4G)? The OPIS mobile is a 2G (GSM) mobile phone.
- please check the attached document listing typical setup issues

Last not least the phone could be defective indeed. If so, please contact our customer support at support@opis-tech.com.

Thanks Frank
In normal mobile phone, SIM connects to a 4G network...it would seem to default to 2G if 4G and 3G not available, but doesn't have the facility to force it to try to connect to the 2G netwrok....so can't test SIM on 2G on my normal mobile.
I'm going to take Pushmefon for a road trip, see if it picks up 2G ... then if not, I'll investigate the SIM further

Hi Frank
Now resolved. Turned out PushMeFon wouldn't work with my SIM card, as my Network is Smarty, which doesn't support 2G. However, phone was for my Mum who's in a care home, her Network is Virgin which does support 2G, when I put her SIM card in all worked fine.
Thanks to you and Opis, create support service.
