With the Opis UR-U1 German retro-design house Opis Technology introduces its newest model of a sandalwood wristwatch to the world.

The Opis UR-U1 is conceived as a unisex watch (ø 38 mm, thickness 14 mm) and combines modern precision technology with a design inspired by the style of classic wristwatches from the fifties.

Made from black sandalwood with natural grain the case and wristband are oiled to protect them against water splashes. Material and craftsmanship of the wristband with its small, conjoined links make wearing the watch pleasant, warm and soft. The links can be removed or added individually to adjust length; three additional links and a removal tool are part of the package.

The elaborately fashioned dial face can be chosen freely from a total of six variations. The background is available in green, blue and turquoise and scatters, reflects and refracts incident light into an iridescent play of colours due to its embossed relief. The metal components hands, digits, ring and crown are available either in silver or golden bronze.

High precision is ensured by the movement of type 2115. In addition, great importance was attached to the longevity of the battery.

With its Opis 60s mobile, Opis Technology now produces a unique retro telephone. The designer product with rotary dial and metal bell looks like a sixties telephone, but is a mobile phone. It doesn't use a fixed-line connection but is operated as a mobile using a SIM-card. It is used both in the commercial environment and by individuals.

The design of the Opis 60s mobile closely resembles that of a classic rotary dial phone. Only if you turn it over can you see a SIM-card slot, an on/off switch and three indicator lights. There is also a receptacle at the back of the phone. Here you can plug in the charger. On a fully charged battery the desktop mobile boasts more than 1 week of standby and more than 5 hours of talk-time. In the meantime it can be used wireless and taken everywhere for a mobile phone call – just like you could with any other mobile.
